Jakarta Provincial Government will Add 63 Free Private Schools

The Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to continuously expanding access to quality education for its residents. This is demonstrated by plans to increase the number of private schools offering free education programs in the capital.

Now the number is 103 schools

Head of Jakarta Education Agency, Nahdiana said that her side will add 63 private schools to the free education program. Previously, the program was running in 40 schools by 2025.

"Now the number is 103 schools," she said, Thursday (2/26).

Jakarta Cuts Back School Hours for Ramadan

With this planned expansion, a total of 103 private schools will be running the free education program for Jakarta students by July 2026.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, emphasized the important role of education in improving the welfare of society.

Therefore, the Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to prioritizing the education sector for Jakarta's children through various prepared assistance programs, such as KJP, KJMU, and diploma amnesty.

"The key word in a family if you want change, then the most important thing is education. Once again, education," he emphasized.
